Kentucky - TourismKentucky Fishing & Hunting_______________________________________ HuntingNot only does Kentucky provide an immense amount in fishing for the anglers, Kentucky also provides a great abundance of game to hunt for the hunter. There are over 1.6 million acres of open land for public hunting. This is great for anyone who doesn't already own land in Kentucky, but wants to come to an area of Kentucky to benefit from all the game available to hunt. Don't worry hunters, some of the best hunting is available on Kentucky's public land. Whenever you are in Kentucky, don't worry you are never too far from all the many hunting landscapes that Kentucky has to offer. The Eastern Kentucky terrain is covered in mountains of hardwood forests, these are knob circles in central Kentucky's Rolling Grasslands. In Western Kentucky, swaps rise flowing into the flat terrain before meeting the Mississippi River. Hunting and Fishing in Kentucky do require a license each, which can be found at most any sporting goods store and can also be purchased via phone at, 1-877-598-2401 or by visiting the website (www.fw.ky.gov). |
