The Kentucky Derby Museum is located on the grounds of Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. The museum is dedicated to the American tradition of Thoroughbred horse racing. The museum is located at Gate 1 of Churchill Downs, and includes 2 floors of exhibits. Visitors are welcome to take the walking guided tour provide by The Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs (weather permitting). Also available is the tours that are provided by the Kentucky Derby Museum, in which visitors will get the chance to see areas that are closed off to the general public.

There is also the Derby Cafe, located in The Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs. The Derby Cafe serves classic lunch items but with a Kentucky flavor. There is also a gift shop available.
