Marker # 604 Colonel Frank L. Wolford Colonel Frank L. Wolford was a Veteran of the Mexican War. He led the First Kentucky Union Cavalry, and was the hero of many battles, and was wounded eight times. Wolford was known as a renowned lawyer, and orator. He served as a member of Kentucky Legislature and Congress.
