Zilpo Campgrounds: The Zilpo Recreation Area is located on a 355 acre wooded peninsula that extends into the Cave Run Lake. This campground features 172 tent and RV campsites that are tucked away along a three mile stretch of shoreline. Many of the sites are shaded with large hardwood trees and all are within walking distance of the lakeshore. Zilpo Recreation facilities include bathhouses with solar hot water showers, some electric RV hookups, hiking and jogging trails, scenic overlooks, a boat ramp, and a country store. Boat and camper storage are available. For reservations and more information please contact the National Recreation Reservation Service at 1-877-444-6777 or 1-877-833-6777 (for the hearing impaired). Reserve at least 4 days in advance with a $9.00 non-refundable fee. You can also visit their website at www.reserveusa.com Zilpo Recreation Area is open from mid-April through mid-October.
