Twin Knobs Campground & Recreation Area:

Twin Knobs Campground and Recreation Area in part of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Mountains and a beautiful lake surround the 700 acre Twin Knobs campground. 

There are 216 campsites that will accommodate large R.V.'s or family tents, that provide great privacy and comfort during your stay. 

Twin Knobs facilities include modern bath houses with showers, foot trails, scenic overlooks, boat ramps, and a 2,000 foot beach. There are also, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and horseshoe pits. 

Single campsites are do not allow more than 6 people and two vehicles per unit. Double campsites may be used for up to 12 people and 4 vehicles. Additional vehicles will be charged an additional $5.00 per night. The maximum length of stay at Twin Knobs is 14 consecutive days. Check out is at 1:00 P.M. after that designated time a fee will be added. Only registered campers are allowed at Twin Knobs after 10:00 P.M. 

Refunds will not be granted to visitors who leave because of inclement weather, or has been evicted for disciplinary reasons, or for a portion of a day after 1:00 P.M., except in an emergency situations where the campground or part of the campground must be closed. 

Golden Age/Access Passports must be used only be the person to whom they are issued. Passport holders may pay for only one site at the passport rate and must occupy that site. 

There are 12 boat ramps located around the lake. Also at Twin Knobs and Zilpo Campgrounds there are stores available for you camping needs.

For camping information and reservations visit the National Recreation Reservation website at www.reserveusa.com or call them at 1-877-444-6777 or 1-877-833-6777 (for hearing impared). Reserve at least 4 days in advance with a $9.00 non-refundable fee for sites in C, G, H, & I loops.

Campground is open from mid-March through the end of October. Camp fees are $18.00 for single sites, $26.00 for double sites and each extra vehicle will be $6.00. There is electric at loops A, B, C, H & J and is $5.00 a day. Sewer/Water and electric are $7.00 a day for each R.V. There is a waste disposal dump station at the camp entrance and is $5.00 per vehicle for non-campers.
