Jenny Wiley State Resort Park:

A mountain resort sure to offer something for everyone. It includes 1,110 acres of Dewey Lake to explore, a golf course, as well as performing arts theatre. This mountain resort is named for the legendary pioneer woman Jenny Wiley. Jenny Wiley was taken captive by Indians in 1789, Wiley endured the slaying of her brother and children, then she escaped after 11 months of captivity. The park's Dewey Lake has largemouth and hybrid striped bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie. The boat dock offers close to 200 open slips, three launching ramps, and pontoon boat rentals. There are hiking trails that cross over 10 miles of all hiking abilities. 

Facilities include a 49 room lodge that is surrounded by towering pine trees and the peaceful mountains. If you are looking for something a bit more secluded and private there is the one or two-bedroom cottages.  Tableware, cooking utensils, and linens are provided, along with fresh linens each day at the cottages. The lodge dining room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

For the camper, there are 117 sites on the campground, which have utility hookups, two central service buildings with showers and restrooms, a grocery store, and a dump station. There are also picnic tables, grills, and playgrounds all throughout the park. 

Fees are sites with standard electric are $20.00, sites with standard electric and sewer are $26.00 and tent sites are $12.00. 

Jenny Wiley is located in Prestonsburg, Kentucky off of US 23/460, on KY 3. From Interstate 64, take the Mountain Parkway exit. From Interstate 64 east, take the US 23 south exit. From Interstate 75 north, take the Hal Rogers Parkway exit. From Interstate 75 south, take the Interstate 64 east exit.
